The title makes the game sound flimsy, but by no means is The Firefly Collector easy. Yeah it is actually kind of hard. The basic concept is that you have to push the fireflies into the jar (just not the red ones) in a one-minute time limit. So basically, you act as a repelling magnet with your mouse.

Review Guide

The description for the game is kind of cute (”Go on, take a break, catch some magical fireflies in the tranquil woods!”), which essentially is why you should play this game. It’s short, simple, but insanely hard if you want the highest score. (I’m not sure how you can get above 2000 points for this game.)

Basic commands are to move the mouse around to herd the fireflies into the jar. And then left-click for a burst of force. Catch red flies, you 50 points. But catch a green fly, you get 100 points. The regular yellow ones are 20 points. The game has very simply concepts in this aspect.

The music is calming, but this game isn’t so calming. I got so jittery trying to get the green fly into the jar, only to accidentally push a red one in.

I can’t really add more about this game, since there’s nothing more than that. But it’s fun, great to replay, and overall, has smooth gameplay. But more levels and maybe a little more variety with the flies would be nice. The game is actually substantial, but it could be so much more.

Simple and fun, I do recommend you try it. See if you can get your way to first place. Check it out here.

LOL omg this game is ridiculous! it’s so hard to get the greens and yellows ones in but so easy to get the reds in.. LOL i suck at this game!

I’ve playeed it, I don’t know how people get more than 3,000.
Really really hard game, there’s really no technique to it. You just put the flies in period.

yes this game is very hard. Sometimes the fireflies get stuck on the side and I can’t finish the timer. I don’t like it when that happens. Play this game if you want a calming game.
