You see that picture? That is no fake. That man on the left, Fari Salievski, of Liverpool NSW, won a competition SEGA held last year promoting Yakuza 3 that offered a replica full body tattoo of the game’s protagonist, Yakuza Kiryu. The estimated value of this tattoo job is $9000. Pretty lucky guy don’t you think?

Here is a glimpse of the process:

Today, as Yakuza 4 is about to hit shelves (exclusively for the PS3), SEGA finally announced the winner to the competition. Salievski, 46 years old, is a 7th degree martial arts master who runs the KMA Champion Martial Arts school in Liverpool, one of the largest in the country teaching Hapkido, Brazilian Jiujitsu, Kickboxing & MMA. His school is also Sydney’s only official American Top Team affiliate where he trains Cage
Fighters. Cage fighter guys! Cage fighters!

The tattoo work was done by artist Josh Roelink of Tatudharma Studios in Sydney. Pretty intense job right?

Interview is here.

Oh wow, that’s pretty crazy. The tattoo art design is amazing! Too bad I don’t like tattoos XD hehe. But that’s pretty awesome!

Wow, that’s pretty crazy. It looks amazing but I don’t think I could ever do a full body tattoo like that. The winner must be a huge Yakuza fan and really excited about the finished product. He did get a $9000 tattoo. wink Thanks for sharing!
