Any Sonic the Hedgehog fans out there? Personally, I love the little guy, but he’s a bit too fast for me to comprehend and control in video games; that doesn’t stop me from trying to play though! Guess what? Very recently, TheFeed has found out that SEGA will be announcing a spankin-new Sonic the Hedgehog game later this week! EuroDNS (this company was in charge of the domains for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and Sonic Free Riders) has gone ahead and registered the domain for SonicGenerations.com and Sonic-Generations.com.

To confirm all of this, Sega tweeted “Sonic’s 20th Anniversary is this year, but SEGA start celebrating on 7th April and you’ll only find out how on the Sonic Facebook page!” In other words, they want you to fan their page on Facebook if you haven’t already and watch for updates. Oh, and I didn’t know this year is Sonic’s 20th anniversary. Congrats to Sonic!

The facebook page’s wall is filled with written teasers such as, “There’s something big coming this week to this very page…” and “BRAND NEW TRAILER COMING TOMORROW ONLY ON SONIC’S FACEBOOK! Be sure to come back tomorrow to check it out!” What do you think this could mean? Maybe a new Sonic Anniversary compilation is in the works, or another Sonic adventure, or even better yet, both!

I’m rather excited, and I just became a fan of the Facebook Sonic page, surprised I wasn’t a fan before. Are you looking forward to what SEGA has in store for the speedy little hedgehog?
