Meet the Razer Switchblade, a small portable PC with the ability to customize the keyboard for gaming (as featured above). It will come out first in China, along with a plethora of games developed by one of China’s largest Internet and gaming companies, Tencent.

The creator behind this amazing portable gaming PC is U.S. company Razer, who announced this news at Beijing’s Intel Developer Forum. This product should create a revolutionary wave as it should bring PC gaming to a whole new level.

The device uses the Windows 7 OS with Intel’s latest Atom processor, the Z670 (this means faster connection and better gaming). Though it can function like any normal laptop, this PC was designed for PC. It has a touch screen and a keyboard with an LCD panel that can be switched from gaming configuration to your normal QWERTY keyboard and vice versa. This allows gamers to have a 2-in-1 device.

The Razer Switchblade concept was first unveiled at the CES earlier this year, but has been customized to suit the needs of its first targeted audience, Chinese gamers. It’s a smart move by Razer as China is home to 457 million Internet users and has an online gaming market that reached about $4.8 billion in transactions last year alone.

Four games will come with the Switchblade when it becomes available. Other games may be available but it will not be known until later. The four games that are to be included in the package is offered to those in China but may be offered in other markets when the Switchblade becomes available in tose markets.

No known release date has been confirmed.

I actually think this is a brilliant idea. After all, having a special keyboard for gaming and QWERTY for normal computer usage, this is quite an awesome idea! I think a lot of gamers will buy this when it becomes available!
