There’s a pedometer out by the name of Pokéwalker that comes with the HeartGold and SoulSilver Pokemon titles and it has taken the title of most accurate device for counting steps. It beat out two other dedicated pedometers for the honors.

Researched at Iowa State University presented these results at an experimental biology conference. It found the Pokéwalker to be most accurate while counting steps on a treadmill at four different speeds. This is one of the first steps of research on this device to help kids become more physically active.

Because Pokemon is such a big deal for kids, this may prove to be a blessing in getting kids to be more active.

I. want. now. That Pokéwalker looks so awesome!

Yea, I love the Pokewalker...I wish I got SS, but I didn’t, soo...I just used my friend’s Pokewalker, lol.
