Though most of the world has been able to have their PlayStation Network restored, over in the East, Japan is still waiting. Sony informs us that the store is still offline and the time expected for it to come back is unknown.

A notice came from the company that apologizes for the long delay and for Japanese customers to continue being patient as they try to work with “related parties” to bring the PSN service back online ASAP.

But recent conflicts between Sony and the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has them requesting to view the improved security features that Sony plans to implement post-hack before they’ll let a restoration happen.

I’m guessing that’s where the “related parties” comes in, so I hope they get this situated soon. But I get where Japan might be worried and would want to make sure that nothing like this happens again to be cautious with a too-quick restoration.
