Blizzard Entertainment has stated that regional linking will be coming to StarCraft 2. This will allow users to more easily connect with those in their regions.

The regions Blizzard are linking together are the European and Russian communities, the North American and Latin American communities, and the Korean and Taiwanese communities. There will be more multiplayer matchmaking options, such as finding faster ladder and custom games as well as finding more opponents at or near your skill level.
