So according to 01net, there’s an ongoing rumor that Nintendo is making a 3DS attachment that act as a right analog stick. Apparently this was actually left out in the final design because Miyamoto said players use their fingers to play. However, another rumor has popped up about a potential newer model.

01net says that Nintendo is planning to release the right analog stick attachment “for about 10 dollars” to the public.

In addition, it also mentions that Nintendo is prepping a new 3DS for a 2012 release. Apparently it might be “radically toned down” in terms of the 3D element, with a new design. This may also lead to a further price slash for the 3DS out now.

Honestly, who knows if both these things are real or fake. But Nintendo must be sweating bullets to see the PS Vita release so soon - and with good reception. Sony hasn’t even advertised much of it yet.
