Known for their work on the Professor Layton game and film series, Level-5’s next and highly anticipated RPG, Ni no Kuni, has been catching eyes for its amazing graphical artwork. With their collaborative partner, Studio Ghibli, new screenshots of the game have been updated on the game’s website. Check them out after the cut:

The little boy that you see the most is Oliver, also the main character. For the DS version of this game, Oliver’s adventure begins after his mom dies in a “heart-wrenching scene” early on in the game. Though we can’t be sure that this upcoming PS3 version will follow the same path, hopefully the story script will be as solid and deep as well.

Look out for the game to drop in Japan on November 17, with an expanded release to the rest of the world (hopefully) shortly after.

A lot of the screenshots have this art style that is so detailed and beautiful, very fitting since it comes from one of the best animation companies. Very pretty and can’t wait to see more from this game.
