When people are asked to choose their favorite between Grand Theft Auto III, Sand Andreas and Vice City, each game will be chosen. Each game had its own unique story and setting, so even though they were based on one another, it’s not as simple as saying that the newest ones were the best. Of the three games, Grand Theft Auto III is being made available for iOS devices and a few Android phones, in celebration of their tenth anniversary.

Rockstar stated that taking Vice City and San Andreas to mobiles would be a “technical challenge”. Those two games were very complex, especially San Andreas due to it’s three-city environment, despite running on the same technology that powered Grand Theft Auto III. That could be the reason for Rockstar saying that mobile ports are “very possible” in spite of the challenges they present.

It seems like controls will be a slight problem for GTA III. There have been many complaints regarding aim and combat on consoles, so it makes sense that there would be even more if players have to use touchscreen controls. Still, the fact that you’ll be able to play one of three games that rocked the gaming world on a phone, should make up for your finger slipping off an analog stick once in a while.
