GameGadget, a UK-based company, has announced their new product, called the GameGadget 1.0 portable gaming console. With the ads calling it “Go Anywhere – Play Everything”, this console comes with a new software service called GameGadgetGames. According to Jason Cooper, the creator of GameGadget, “GameGadget has been designed with the ultimate goal of playing every game on a single device, just as the ‘iPod’ was for music.” The game catolog for this console will be similar to Apple’s AppStore, as it allows game developers to remarket their past games. This device is based on Linux, and is priced around $160. It is scheduled for a January 2012 release.
