tri-Ace, who developed Star Ocean and End of Eternity, was busy working on Frontier Gate (PSP) and Beyond the Labyrinth (3DS), but it looks like that the developer was also working on another game at the same time: Final Fantasy XIII-2.
Square Enix asked tri-Ace to help design the game, artwork, programming, and other parts of the game. Though tri-Ace itself may not appear in the credits, its staff members do.
