Twisted Metal fans be warned! You might want to rent the new single player game rather than buying it.

According to video game designer, David Jaffe, “If you go in expecting a campaign the likes of BATMAN:ARKHAM CITY, SKYRIM, GEARS OF WAR, KILLZONE 3, etc…you will be sorely dissapointed.” who tweeted this over the weekend. He continued on and suggested that players looking for an epic single player experience might want to rent the game rather than buying it.

Historically, Twisted Metal mainly focused on the campaign over multiplayer death-match style play. The fun was completing the campaign with different characters and unlocking their story.

So, is the new game really that bad? No, it’s just that some features will upset some fans. The new Twisted Metal focuses more intensely on online team battles with unique new modes and vehicles like the juggernaut and helicopter that are designed specifically for team-based tactics.

So, Twisted Metal fans, you are forewarned by the man himself, and you just might want to take his word on it this time.
