The latest rumor for Microsoft’s Xbox360 successor (Xbox720) indicates that the system will utilize a Radeon 6000 series GPU, upgrading the year-old graphics processor.

With this new graphic improvement, “sources close to the project” reported to IGN that the Xbox730 will have “six times the processing power” of its predecessor, and it will even top the performance of Nintendo’s forthcoming Wii U by 20 percent.

Apparently, this new system will be unleashed in “late October or early November of next year.” Furthermore, a recently discovered patent suggests that Microsoft plans to include a digital video recorder in the game console.

European Xbox specialist, Chris Lewis, states on the subject of the 360’s ten-year plan:

We think we’re a little over halfway with the life cycle of the console, but that’s not to say there won’t be an overlap. I’m not going to announce specifically or talk about timing. But you could imagine there could be overlap, it depends. We’re not being specific about the next generation at this stage.

I don’t have an Xbox 360 or anything but this sounds awesome!! A video recorder in the system sounds pretty cool too. I hope users are happy to hear about this. ^^
