Ted Price confirms Insomniac will go no further with Resistance

It has been confirmed by Insomniac themselves that the Resistance series, which inaugurated in 2006, is to be finished with the company. Studio chief Ted Price was even surprised it was treated as big news, and he wanted to do so face-to-face with fans.

In a video earlier this week, Price said “Resistance has reached its logical conclusion in terms of the story that we wanted to tell. That doesn’t mean the Resistance franchise isn’t continuing. That’s because Nihilistic will be taking it on.

Resistance: Burning Skies for PlayStation Vita will be worked on by the new studio immediately. Meanwhile, Insomniac will be looking to move on swiftly – with the creation of the game Overstrike – for PlayStation and Xbox 360.
