Who here loves Resident Evil games? Well, here is an interesting quick trivia. The game was supposed to be available for Game Boy Color, however, the project was canceled and the port was never released.
Today, two prototype versions of the Game Boy Color port of Resident Evil are being sold off for $2000. The anonymous seller agrees to release the ROMS if a certain “fundraiser” reaches its $2,000 goal by the end of February. The products contain two game carts. According to the “sellers” the first cart is a near complete build which was a direct conversion of the Playstation version of the game. Capcom refused to release the final build in 2000. The fundraiser was recently updated last January 23 and so far the funds reached $1,597.81.

Some speculated that this is just a hacked game developed by someone and tried to sell off as the original project. Others think that the “seller” is one of the original developers who didn’t want to see their work go to waste. Legit or not, you decide.
