Ah soccer. One of America’s favorite pasttimes. Just take up a soccer ball, go to a field near you, and kick the ball! Or if you have an iPad, you can play FIFA SOCCER 12 by EA SPORTS for iPad and immerse yourself in moving the ball around, passing to players, even sliding and getting fouls!
With this game, you have many options to choose from, such as the leagues that you want to play in and which club/team that you want to manage and make exemplary so that other teams will quake in fear when they have to play you. Of course, it’s no easy feat - you must also know which team will be beneficial and which sponsor to back you up so that you have enough money on hand to renew player contracts and earn money for bigger and better things.
There is what they like to call a floating joystick in which you move around the player and dodge incoming slides and tackles. You can either shoot, sprint, or pass if you have the ball and if you’re trying to regain control, you switch, slide, or sprint tackle. It will take a bit to master the controls and ensure that you are able to move properly.
What I like about this game is that it has an in-game tutorial. It occurs when you’re playing your games and gives you many needed tips in order to succeed. I highly like that. After all, when you’re new to a game, you want instructions that are easy to understand and helpful in your mastery of the game. It also teaches you tricks that you should know and pick up so that you can easily defeat the opposing team.
In addition to matches, there is what is known as the Daily Challenge. Each day, you are given a simple challenge to complete and if you complete said challenge, you earn an achievement. Challenges can range from penalty kicks to headers from a cross to all sorts of different soccer moves.
The only issue I really had was when I was trying to find my players to block incoming attacks. It took forever for me to see my players come on to the screen and it did irk me a bit, especially when the opposing team was really close to scoring. Luckily, they missed and that’s the end of the story.
The replays are quite fun to watch as when you’re playing the game, you’re too focused on the bigger picture and instead want to keep an eye on the finer details and whatnot. So that’s where the replays come in and show you your fantastic goals in their glory. Ah the bliss.
I really enjoyed playing this game. Typically for these kind of games, I hardly make goals, but I made two in my first game ever! And I celebrated, hah. Arms in the air. Currently, it does cost $9.99 (I got it when it was $0.99), so I would suggest you wait until the price lowers. And the feeling of paying cheap for a game is even better.

I’m not interested in sport games for some reason I liked playing soccer games.. The graphic looks good and the game sounds fun to play. A good time killer. ^^
I’ll chek it out!

Ah, another iPad game! I shoud really get myself an iPad already but then again, I’d rather use my money on something else...not a huge fan of iPad games or app. Not interested in soccer games though.
High score means it’s good eh? I guess it’s good for those soccer fans out there.
