In the city of New Taipei there are internet cafes which are basically filled with tons of gamers who come in to play their favorite online multiplayer games. A gamer from Taiwan, Chen Rong-yu, checked into one of them on a Tuesday evening and was found dead by a waitress on Wednesday evening at one of the computers.

What makes this story even sadder is that no one noticed his dead body there for 9 hours. None of the other workers or players around him even realized it. 23 yr. old Rong-yu was last seen alive on Wednesday afternoon talking on his cell phone. Police reports stated that he may have died due to cardiac arrest brought on by blot clots formed due to a combination of cold temperatures, exhaustion, and lack of movement. His family also stated that he had been treated for a heart condition last September.

This is very sad and I hope his family is able to get through this sudden death. It just makes me very irritated that no one else around him even cared to glance over at him and see if anything was wrong. How do you not notice that for so long? Negligence at its best.

wow thats so sad! how could nobody notice someone was dead! rather than spending days in the cafe, why not pay attention to the things around you!

This is so depressing. :(
Really, other people should at least pay attention to their surroundings rather than plotting their face to a game for hours! I hope his family will stay strong though this hardship..
