The end of Final Fantasy XIII-2 leaves much to be desired, especially since there is a “To Be Continued” message at the end of the final cutscene. Thankfully, Square Enix has shed some light on the situation.

Director Motomu Toriyama hints that this game is much larger than players may think. Instead of leaving XIII-2 where it’s at and planning for the release of a sequel, the “To Be Continued” message is an encouragement for players to replay and dig up every possible conclusion, which may possibly lead to hidden scenes/endings.

Furthermore, Motomu notes that DLC will play a major role in bringing real closure to XIII-2. Upcoming add-ons include adding Lightning and Amodar to the forthcoming Coliseum Battle mode, not to mention, so individual episodes for Lightning. Episodes for Snow and Sazh may also be in the works.

Fans, while excited about getting closure, think it’s a bit of a rip off to have to pay to see the ending. What are you opinion, gamers? If you’ve finished playing, will it be worth it?
