Who said girl fights aren’t messy?

An upcoming downloadable game in the works seems to be on the shaky side of things: Majesco and Kung Fu Factory will be pairing up for Girl Fight, a martial arts fighting game in which all playable characters are women. The game will be available in the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Arcade, and, like all fighters, there will be multiplayer and online leaderboards.

While all-female or nearly all-female casts in fighting games are common, the logo image of Girl Fight tends to sway from the typical serious fighters focusing on game mechanics and skill. Take a look at the Facebook page, and you might get the same feeling that this may as well be a game that only objectifies women.

Kung Fu Factory’s game history is pretty much blank, save for Supremacy MMA, which didn’t receive a lot of praise from critics and gamers alike.

I don’t have high hopes for this game, but we’ll just see in the coming months.
