Before Mario Party 9 is released, a German Nintendo magazine, “N-Zone” released some information about the new game.

As opposed to the previous Mario Party games, everyone on the board will be moving together in one car. Also, there will no longer be any coins or stars to collect but instead, “mini-stars” will be used as the only currency. The game will also be using 16:9 video support and a standard game length of 45 minutes.

I don’t really like the sound of moving together in one car because that sounds like it would be limiting the competition. And isn’t the point of using both stars and coins in the previous games to break ties? I wonder what else will be changed to make up for that. These changes would completely change the way I think of Mario Party, but I hope it’s for the better!
