iPad Review: Let’s Golf 3

For all those avid golfers in you or perhaps for those who want to sit back and relax with a nice peaceful and chill game, why don’t you check out Let’s Golf 3?

Let’s Golf 3 is your simple, typical golfing game, with luxurious and beautiful golf courses and scenery awaiting you. Immerse yourself in this scenery while golfing - it’s a lot to take in! You can travel to the beautiful cherry blossom-filled Japan, the exotic Fuji Islands, the mysterious outer space (though playing in outer space is just a tad tricky, wouldn’t you agree?), and the amazing Great Wall of China, just to name a few places.

There are a few different game modes for you to experiment: single player, where you can just try to score the lowest possible to gain more stars, or you do a challenge for yourself; and multiplayer, where you can challenge up to 3 other players online or via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and even on the same device!

The game allows you to customize your avatar and with each hole that you complete (in single player), you earn coins that allow you to buy outfits and equipment for your avatar. Don’t worry about having to spend money for those in-game purchases; they’re not necessary. There is a plethora of variety of outfits to choose, so you’ll never feel like you’re burdened with boring, ordinary clothes. That’s a definite plus!

With the in-game tutorial and tips that the game offers, you’ll never feel like you’re inadequate to play the game. Let me tell you, I am not the best golfer and I’ll never be. But with this game, I thought I was doing pretty well. Plus, the graphics were so nice and beautiful that I was enraptured and captivated for some time. And the thing that caught my attention was the cherry blossom map of Japan. Granted, I’ll have to play a bit to unlock that level, but it doesn’t mean that I can’t play the other beautiful golf courses. I mean, Fuji Island? Gorgeous! It really makes me want to visit the actual islands. Curse you, game! I’m already broke as is! Oh wait, thanks for being free because that is totally awesome. I love free games and I love them even more when the graphics are breathtaking. Now I feel like I’m missing out on a lot by not traveling.

The game is simple to play - my mom is able to play it and let me tell you: she isn’t the best with technology, but the fact that she enjoyed herself means that the game is for all ages. And it’s a perfect family game because you can play with one another on the same device. For free? Yes!
