Company executives of Sony, most notably the CEO Kazuo Hirai, are to be getting reduced salaries following four years of losses. Shareholders were told by Sony that seven corporate executives have returned bonuses from last year.

There will also apparently be the seeking of approval for a new cast of 14 board members. Hirai would be included in this. 856 billion yen ($10.77 billion) has been lost over the course of four years. 799 million yen ($10 million) was also paid in salaries to 21 execs and directors for the that ended on March 31st, citing the need for change.

Nintendo have also reportedly cut summer bonuses as a result of weak business performance over the past fiscal year of action.
