Since StarCraft II on PC hit the top of the US sales charts two years ago, Diablo 3 has now become the first PC game to do so again. NPD has described this as “a testament to the power of the Blizzard brand”, which is certainly correct.
May’s game sales apparently dipped by 28 percent year-over-year. That’s a fall from $718.9 million to $516.5 million. Max Payne 3 from Rockstar is second in the charts. Michael Pachter had actually said on Twitter that it sports sales figures “less than 50% of L.A. Noire’s. Here’s the full list of how well games performed last month:
