South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has added to the steadily increasing list of a measures another system that restricts children under 18 years of age from playing computer games during a period of time that their parents implemented.
This time period is labeled the “Selection System of Game Availability Period,” and is going to be applied to over 100 famous online games such as League of Legends, Aion, and StarCraft 2.
There are some loopholes in the law, however, for one, this rule doesn’t apply to console titles or completely free games.
I wonder if this will have a positive effect on South Korea. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
