EA has recently stated that Battlefield 3 will be going through a bit of a makeover and will feature a new Matches portion!

This new feature is said to allow players to coordinate competitive multiplayer games, and players will be able to define times, servers, rosters and various game settings.

For players to be able to fully make use of the coordinated matches, they will need to be renting a dedicated server, which is possible for PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 via Battlelog. EA has also explained to Battlefield fans that things like friendly fire, 3D spotting, squad-leader spawning, kill cam, health regeneration and weapon unlocks will be available.

As exciting as this feature seems, EA has not yet given a date for its release. Hopefully, it won’t be too long a wait!
