Last year, Ubisoft revealed that they are working with Sony Pictures to create an Assassin’s Creed movie, and it looks like things are underway as they’ve chosen Michael Fassbender to star and co-produce the movie.

According to Ubisoft Motion Pictures‘ CEO, Jean-Julien Baronnet in an interview with Variety, “Michael Fassbender was our first choice to play the franchise’s iconic hooded hero. Michael is an extremely smart, talented, versatile and committed actor.”

Fassbender has played ‘Magneto’ in “X-Men: First Class” and ‘David’ in “Prometheus“.
