Over 3 million sales made of Minecraft on XBLA

Markus “Notch” Persson, franchise creator of Minecraft, has claimed that the game for has exceeded sales of three million for Xbox 360 alone. It came when he tweeted “I got told Minecraft for XBLA passed three million sales today!”.

For the game, it is just another landmark. It has already been the best selling game for the first 24 hours of availability on Xbox 360. Within its first week, it also sold over one million copies, which is quite impressive.
