EA has claims that much is being done to ensure that there is no repeat of hacking into the game for some customers, as was the case last year. There will be plenty of investment to tighten up security on a general basis.
Phishers and scammers found the FIFA Ultimate Team add-on in the past to be a hotspot to attack. But Frank Gibeau, president of EA Games, said “There’s a lot of sophisticated hacking happening in the gaming industry and it’s a continuous battle”.
Hopefully things will come to fruition and we don’t see a repeat of last year. Remember that FIFA Soccer 13 will be releasing on September 15 in the US, and on the 28th August in the UK and Europe, which is just around the corner!
