Review Guide

With your love for chocolate, you want try and make chocolates that would make even the tyrannous King Choco drool at the sight of. In Choco Village, you grow your skills by making milk, dark, white, and even gold chocolate. But that’s not all - you get to create your own designs, buy your ingredients, even get gifts for satisfying customers. With the help of your handy trusty Choki, it’s time to make scrumptious chocolate with awesome mixers.

In the beginning, you’re pretty limited to what you can do, as you have a witch help you with your store and giving you tips and advice on what you need to do become successful in Choco Village. Fun times. As Cocoteenie, you’re pretty reluctant to do as the witch bids and you’re even less enthusiastic with the high costs of ingredients and so forth, set down by the tyrant King Choco. But your ears perk up when you hear of free quests and borrowed items. It is so amusing. It’s even made more amusing when you find out that the characters don’t actually speak but it’s some form of sound babble that rises in pitch depending on your mood. Oh so funny.

This game will remind you of Order Up!! To Go (see review here), but it’s much cuter and seemingly more addicting. And who can blame you? It’s chocolate. Mmm. Makes me crave for chocolate right now! With such cute characters at your disposal and different quests and Chokis to get, you won’t want to put the game down.

It’s quite fast-paced, though, so beware. You’ll have to keep an eye on both the chocolate making as well as customers and their coins. Oh and after you pass a certain level, you’ll start receiving gifts from customers. Most of the time (that I noticed), those gifts were empty. What! Not cool, seriously not cool. And I didn’t even realize those gifts were in my inventory (I kinda forgot, though) until I got a notice twice that said I lost boxes because my inventory was full. Oh right. Apparently, I forgot to check up on my inventory. Heh.

As for creating designs and getting them evaluated, not only do you need to sign up for Com2us (home to many cute games), but it costs 100 stars each time. And by the way, your stars don’t overaccumulate. What does that mean? As soon as you hit 100/100, you stay there, even if you do keep earning stars. Totally not cool - I want my stars!

All in all, it’s a fun game and if you’re bored, I highly suggest that you go and purchase it for $2.99.
