New Super Mario Bros. 2 is pulling away from the pack in Japan’s gaming sales charts as the moment, expressing Nintendo’s sheer dominance. It has been placed first on the all formats software charts at 148,225 sales.

In second place was Pokemon Black/White 2 with a figure of 62,274 sales, following further down by Dragon Quest X on 47,065. Nintendo’s presence was epitomized by the fact that just two game over the entire top-20 were not theirs.

111,857 units have also already been sold for the Nintendo 3DS in the past week, followed by the PlayStation 3 on 16,277.
