A reduction in the price of the Xbox 360 Kinect peripheral has just been announced by Microsoft. In North America, the price of the Kinect has been decreased by $49.99 from $149.99 to $109.99, which is quite significant.

They said “A permanently reduced price” will also be offered in Latin America, Asia Pacific regions and, from October 4, Australia and New Zealand”. Major Nelson added that prices are to vary within regions “based on the currency and other variables”.

This news comes in the wake of Microsoft’s announcement for the release of an Xbox “Essential’s Pack” for autumn.
