Following this week’s reveal it has been confirmed that the Nintendo Wii U is set to be sold at a price starting from $299 across North America. There will be two separate models of this new handheld - with the basic arriving with an 8GB flash drive and HDMI cable.

That will come at a cost of $299. If you want to go a level higher, there is the option of a premium edition, to be complimented by a 32GB hard drive as well as additional stands for the console as well as a touchscreen control charging dock, for $349.

The reveal wowed everyone at both the press conference in New York and unleashing in Japan. Hopefully it lives up to its billing.
