Firmware update 1.81 for the PlayStation Vita has just been released by Sony. They have described it by “it’s a minor update that improves software stability”. Online gamers will need to use it to carry on doing so.

This news comes just as an announcement was made from the forthcoming launches of “Cosmic Red” and “Sapphire Blue” versions of the handheld in Japan on November 15th. It should be a busy few months for the Vita.

In addition to this, work is being doing to carry out plans to extend PlayStation Plus to Vita in November. Watch out for more news soon.
