For those of you who are wondering about the imminent announcement of the arrival of the PS3’s successor, you may have to think again. That’s because Sony have uttered that the former’s existence in the gaming world is still well and truly awake.

John Koller, marketing VP at SCEA, said “A lot of great content is coming. And over the next 2-3 years, the PS3 has got an incredible lineup”. So maybe that might have silenced some who have been hoping for another console as early as next year.

And that lineup is certainly impressive, featuring the likes of The Last Guardian, The Last of Us, and Beyond: Two Souls. There’s no doubt its still excelling, and so fears from current owners may be quelled as the games keep flowing in.
