Around 2.7 million copies of the game World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria have been sold within its first week out. Apparently, an expansion to the global use base of Blizzard’s has played a big part in it, “with growth over all major regions”.
This news follows that of August’s announcement that World of Warcraft subs had been at 9.1 million. It was admittedly slightly less than the back end of Blizzard’s previous financial quarter. 20 levels of the game have also been freed up to play.
Furthermore, the first significant downloadable content for the game is being made, with more information soon to be provided.
