An impressive return of 675,000 copies for Resident Evil 6 being sold in Japan occurred a week within its release. To be specific, it sold 635,000 on the PlayStation 3 platform - leaving it at the peak of the weekly software chart.

Then, 42,000 more copies were sold on Xbox 360. These two editions were at either end of the games World Soccer Winning Eleven 2013, Summon Night 3 and Sol Trigger. It typifies the impressive dominance the game had in the market.

The top 10 games of last week are as follows:

1. Resident Evil 6 (PS3, Capcom) - 634,933 / New
2. World Soccer Winning Eleven 2013 (PS3, Konami) - 223,884 / New
3. Summon Night 3 (PSP, Bandai Namco) - 51,453 / New
4. Sol Trigger (PSP, Image Epoch) - 42,037 / New
5. Resident Evil 6 (360, Capcom) - 41,652 / New
6. Style Savvy: Trendsetters (3DS, Nintendo) - 34,288 / 100,196
7. New Super Mario Bros. 2 (3DS, Nintendo) - 29,978 / 1,217,056
8. SD Gundam G Generation: Overworld (PSP, Bandai Namco) - 28,730 / 238,545
9. F1 2012 (PS3, Codemasters) - 14,454 / New
10. Pokemon Black & White 2 (DS, Pokemon Co.) - 12,208 / 2,789.367
