Sales of the PlayStation 3 console have now surpassed five million units in the UK. It comes after a delightful 138% increase in sales during the week of September 28th. This coincided with the release of the all new Super Slim PS3.
It comes in at 12GB and has an aim to suit casual audiences. General sale will begin on Friday, so prospective buyers won’t want to miss out on getting it immediately. Fergal Gara, PlayStation UK boss, said “It is fantastic that we passed the 5m mark.”
He continued with great enthusiasm. “But most importantly to me is not the milestone itself, but there is momentum behind it.”
