Nintendo has revealed that a certain few selected games only will get voice chat support on the Nintendo Wii U. Among these designated games outlined so far are Assassin’s Creed 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Mass Effect 3.

An official headset for the platform will not be made either, meaning that officially licensed Turtle Beach or Mad Catz will have to be used via the GamePad, in order to chat online. Voice chat does not come within the GamePad microphone either.

In order to utilize game chat for Black Ops 2 on the Pro Controller, the GamePad will have to be used due to the fact that a headset is not included either. A full list of features for Wii U voice chat has also been enclosed:

.No universal support for in-game voice chat
.Game-by-game support for in-game chat
.The GamePad mic will not, by default, work as an input for in-game voice chat
.The Wii U will support wired headsets (and possibly mic-enabled headphones),
.No news yet about whether wireless headsets can or will be supported

Remember that the Wii u is arriving in the US on November 18th, following over in Europe on November 30th. It will come at a price of $299 for the basic model.
