Some exciting news has emerged of the impending arrival of the Nintendo Wii U, as information for the games that will be released alongside it has been disclosed. Nintendo Land will be the flagship game, like the Wii’s equivalent of Wii Sports.
Three final games have been announced for it. They are Yoshi’s Fruit Cart, Captain Falcon’s Twister Race, and Octopus Dance. All will have a single-player orientation, to add to the individual experience of gamers.
In Yoshi’s Fruit Cart, Yoshi is controlled by the player, with an intention to follow a path through a course. However, when in game, the TV screen will show only fruit available for collection and dangerous obstacles that the player must avoid.
In Captain Falcon’s Twister Race, the touch pad is made good use of as a steering wheel for the player, complimented by dash plates such as that of an F-zero game. The game Octopus Dance will also bring the best out of you as a player, where you must mimic smooth moves under the pressure of switching between TV and GamePad for the most efficient view of how you’re performing.
Of course, they will be released alongside the previously announced game: Mario Chase, Metroid Blast, Luigi’s Ghost Mansion, Zelda: Battle Quest, Pikmin Adventure, Animal Crossing: Sweet Day, Donkey Kong’s Crash Course, Takamaru’s Ninja Castle, and Balloon Trip Breeze. They will accompany the launch of the Wii U on November 18th, and the game can be bought individually for $59.99, or as part of a Deluxe Set package for $349.99.
