Don’t let the title fool you. As a semi-proud owner of a Nintendo Wii, I know that motion controlled games can be successful. Wii Sports is one of the funnest pick up and play videogames of this generation, and the innovation of motion detection in Metroid Prime 3 made first person shooters play so much better than the typical two joystick setup. We know the motion controlled system can really help the accessibility in games, and even improve some, but that isn’t the question. More »

Even though everyone else hates good old Tiger Woods, the gaming world still welcomes him with open arms. I mean, what other golfer would we want to play as in all the golf games that come out? Doesn’t it suck when your friend picks Tiger and your stuck playing some old white guy with an Irish name? More »

Final Fantasy XIII includes 6 summons, or Eidolon as they are called in this installment. 4 Eidolons are classic summons from the series and 2 are new additions. Summons have always been a high point for fans of the series and I can’t help but feel a little cheated with only taking control over 6 summons. Here is a list of 5 summons we would have loved to see get an HD makeover. More »

Ubisoft has released a developer diary that shows off quite a bit of gameplay footage. Surprisingly enough the game based on a film, based on a game takes it self pretty seriously. Fans of the Sands of Time era Prince of Persia games will feel right at home with how the Prince manipulates the world around him. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands might just put the franchise back on track to the game that we all once loved. Don’t mistake this trip through Persia as another poorly executed film adaption. If you haven’t seen the show The Big Bang Theory yet, you are missing out on one of the best nerdy comedy romps on TV. Though usually these shows would be cheesy and references to funny nerdy things would be grueling, this show actually pulls it off surprisingly well. Sadly it is almost impossible to find solid streams of the show online, but you can buy the DVD’s in stores or catch it the old fashion way, on TV. Check out this funny clip of the gang playing World of Warcraft after the break! More »

Remember Eric Ruth? Probably not, but you should because he is the guy behind the amazing 8-bit Left 4 Dead downloadable game released last year. It appears he’s up to his old tricks again. This time around he has recreated Mega Man 9 in glorious HD. The end result is simply beautiful. More »

These boys are brilliant. Who wants to stand at a kiosk in a store and play video games for long period’s of time? No one? Well that is exactly the reason why retail stores don’t set up comfy couches and chairs in front of the game stands that usually have full running versions of new titles customers can try out. They don’t want you to sit in front of their TV and play the game, they want you to play the game until you get tired of standing and then buy the game and go home where you can sit and play in peace. Who would have thought that Iowa would be “the capital of the world” for anything except silly masked nu-metal and corn? While Slipknot holds a funny place in my heart, and I do love me some corn, video games practically take up the rest. Maybe Iowa is the place I should be? Could be true, but the question remains: …why Iowa!? More »
