Ubisoft has released a developer diary that shows off quite a bit of gameplay footage. Surprisingly enough the game based on a film, based on a game takes it self pretty seriously. Fans of the Sands of Time era Prince of Persia games will feel right at home with how the Prince manipulates the world around him. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands might just put the franchise back on track to the game that we all once loved. Don’t mistake this trip through Persia as another poorly executed film adaption. God of War and Twisted Metal designer and director, David Jaffe, ranted on his blog the other night about Microsoft’s downloadable title Scrap Metal and Hollywood’s recently announced film, War of the Gods. He believes both properties should be held accountable for copyright infringement and urges Sony to get their lawyers involved. More »
According to the gaming world, Heavy Rain is apparently good. But my question is, is it good enough to make into a movie? Hell, is any game good enough to transfer to the big screen successfully? This is perhaps one of the biggest philosophical questions of our day, but like most things in 2010, we act before we think. More »

The latest Aliens vs. Predator reboot is not faring as well as we all had hoped. Leaving us all wondering if we will ever see a truly great game based on either of these beloved series. Here’s a quick list of things that could put an end to the string of mediocre Alien vs. Predator games we’ve seen thus far. More »
The newest Aliens vs. Predator reboot hopes to do away with the stale gameplay and poor craftsmanship of the previous installments. One of the ways Rebellion does this is by splitting the campaign into 3 factions: Colonial Marines, Aliens, and Predators. Players take control of each species and play out the events as they unfold through their unique perspectives. With this impression I will start off with looking at the Colonial Marines campaign since that is where most players will begin. More »

In a recent interview with Sci-Fi Wire, Vin Diesel spilled the beans on his next big project, Riddick 3. With each past installment we’ve seen a video game release some time after, in 2004 we got The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay and in 2009 we were treated with The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault of Dark Athena. Both titles were developed by Starbreeze Studios in conjunction with Diesel owned developer Tigon Studios. Could we have another Riddick game hitting consoles in the near future? More »

Having not ever read Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy I was excited to finally see what all the fuss was about. While this might not be the best representation of the 12th Century poet, I found it to be a pleasurable experience none the less. Before I go any further I must admit that even though Visceral Games did an astonishing job at reviving the survival horror genre with Dead Space, I feared that not even they could adapt an epic poem into an entertaining video game franchise. With that said, the God of War style combat is intriguing, so I sat down with the Animated Epic in hopes that I wouldn’t be totally lost when I finally get my hands on the game. More »
By now we’ve all the seen the Prince of Persia trailer, it’s been all over the net for months and even aired during last night’s Super Bowl XLIV. It’s being backed by Disney, boasts Jake Gyllenhaal and Ben Kingsley as its leads, and has Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) directing. The project looks promising to say the least. Then why are we not as excited as we should be? This could be our saving grace from years of piss-poor video game adaptions. Prince of Persia could do to video game films what Spider-Man did for comic book films. But it won’t and I’ll tell you why. More »
