Sometimes I get really boring PR emails about really lame mobile games, or outdated looking PC ports. Sometimes I get really awesome PR emails about great deals that all of you should know about. This blog post refers to the latter More »

With the GDC kicking off yesterday, between all the cool exhibits and awesome news, one thing everyone has been wondering is: Who will take the gold in game of the year? Everyone has a different opinion of who will take what, and Wirebot is no different. Find out our predictions after the break! More »

I am so jealous. While everyone is hacking away in Pulse, learning about all the intricacies of the new Final Fantasy XIII, I am playing iphone games and trying to finish Dragon Age:Origins. Sometimes life gets in the way of gaming, and it drives you crazy. I guess it could be worse, at least I don’t have the three red rings that ruin them all..

So (though I am reluctant to ask), whatcha playin Wirebot!? More »

Don’t you just love big red looking dudes that you know can kick the crap out of little punks? Mostly named Ken and Ryu. More »

Einstein knew what was up, being all smart and into physics. He knew that to get the cred, he had to sit in his room for years and come up with the theory of relativity. Thankfully, we can just use his ideas in a video game and not have to sit in a room, shunning the real world in exchange for immersion into a..project..that…Oh no. We are nerds! More »

If you haven’t seen the show The Big Bang Theory yet, you are missing out on one of the best nerdy comedy romps on TV. Though usually these shows would be cheesy and references to funny nerdy things would be grueling, this show actually pulls it off surprisingly well. Sadly it is almost impossible to find solid streams of the show online, but you can buy the DVD’s in stores or catch it the old fashion way, on TV. Check out this funny clip of the gang playing World of Warcraft after the break! More »

These boys are brilliant. Who wants to stand at a kiosk in a store and play video games for long period’s of time? No one? Well that is exactly the reason why retail stores don’t set up comfy couches and chairs in front of the game stands that usually have full running versions of new titles customers can try out. They don’t want you to sit in front of their TV and play the game, they want you to play the game until you get tired of standing and then buy the game and go home where you can sit and play in peace. Remember that beautiful Japanese Final Fantasy XIII bundle, with the white Playstation 3 and pink sprawling artwork on the front? Remember how bad we all wanted it, and how dissapointed we were when Sony hated on us and didn’t make it happen? Well, all that sadness disappeared and was replaced with joy on finding out the 360 was getting its own FFXIII bundle, right here in the states. That is until I saw what we were actually getting with this “bundle.” More »

Who would have thought that Iowa would be “the capital of the world” for anything except silly masked nu-metal and corn? While Slipknot holds a funny place in my heart, and I do love me some corn, video games practically take up the rest. Maybe Iowa is the place I should be? Could be true, but the question remains: …why Iowa!? More »

What could be better than an open world post-apocalyptic environment sprawling with mutants, crazy gangs, undead, and dudes in huge metal suits all wanting to fight the crap out of you? Besides Mass Effect Fields and Spectres, nothing really comes close. This is why Fallout: Vegas, a followup/spinoff to Fallout 3 set in the same universe, will ultimately rule. Check out some newly released, sweet looking screenshots after the break. More »

Oh the subtlety of the humor in this wonderful picture. More »

With Kratos chillin just around the corner, we were bound to see some leaked footage of the game pop up on the internet. This video depicts Kratos in a battle against a boss within the game. Granted, this scene could contain spoilers (depending on your definition of the term) so don’t say I didn’t warn you. More »

Even though the holiday season is over, this year the after season is really what matters. With so many good games coming out this month, how will you choose which game is worth picking up and which is worth passing over? You can thank me for my breakdowns by genre later. For now, check out what you are going to be adding to your shopping list in the upcoming weeks! More »

They are starting to seem like little pests, the kind that even when facing extermination, they keep on fighting. These little annoyances are the casual gaming audience and their persistent money spending. While Nintendo is rolling in the dough over a bunch of mini games developed years ago, hard working developers are trying to make ends meet. Come on Nintendo, can’t you cut them some slack? Keep your minions at bay for a few weeks?

Check out the full breakdown of the top ten games to sell in the US this past week after the break. More »

The fine folks over at Joystiq have informed me of something wonderful to look forward to: new Mass Effect 2 DLC! WOO! More »
