The age old argument; PC or Console Gaming?
With the advantage of customization of hardware on the PC, also comes its downfall. Constant upgrades to graphics cards, sound cards, motherboards, processors, etc., soon leave the beast you spent $1600 on absolutely moot because of the upgrades that will continue to pile onto the top of that price tag.
Consoles provide a much more static platform, one that makes the developers work on improving the technology by advancing in-game engines and utilizing tried and true methods of making even the most archaic graphics card seem like brand new.
