Video games, in my opinion, are meant to transport you to another place—especially in the case of role-playing games (my favorite genre)—and this is usually achieved through the creation of the game universe. However, while exploring a new, fantastical world, the truths about reality become all the more apparent, I have found. More »

Every game has its own theme song, and most of them are extremely well made, and others can be a disappointment. I’ve put together 10 of my favorite all-time video game soundtracks which I think really can be called a piece of art. These pieces of music are emotional I think, which is important to the games story line and it makes us feel more attached to the characters we are playing along side or playing as. I’m sure we all have fallen in love with some of the music from our favorite games. More »

No video game is complete without the player being attracted to at least one of the characters, even though they are just a made up person we still find ourselves attracted towards a few, i’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks this! There are always those epic games which we can play over and over again such as Legend of Zelda and Starfox 5, however there is always that one character in most of these games which we think to ourselves: “Why put them in here? They are annoying!” Well I’ve come up with a list of 10 of those such types in this list of the most annoying game characters! More »

In every successful game, there must be one essential lead character and one sexy female character. The supporting female character plays a significant role in either, heightening the protagonist’s skills or creating the downfall in which the protagonist slowly succumbs to. Whatever role the female may play, they are undeniably beautiful in their own way. More »

Final Fantasy V: The Fabled Warriors, a five part album series which contains remixes of everyone’s favorite Final Fantasy V themes, is a daunting musical project taken on by OCRemix (or OverClocked Remix). I don’t know about you guys but I have had a problem with Final Fantasy ever since they released the ninth installment in their series. It seems like, since that moment, Final Fantasy has been rapidly declining in it’s challenge factor. The seventh and eighth games in the series were both pretty challenging in their own aspect and strategy was used a lot more often in order to progress and be victorious. The ninth game had a really challenging Final Boss but it seemed to be a bit easier than it’s previous brethren. The tenth title and Final Fantasy X-2 were both really simplistic in terms of challenge and the release of Final Fantasy XII was no different. So we are left with the biggest question, is Final Fantasy XIII going to follow suit? More »

From Ningin: There were many awesome games that were released this past decade and it was hard for me to choose which ones to put on this list. But I limited myself to games that came from Asia (more specifically Japan) and here is the list that I have come up with. Keep in mind that I have limited access to game consoles, excluding my Playstation 2. So most of the games on this list are from the PS2. More »

Oh you know what I’m talking about. There has to have been at least one character in a game that has made you cringe and wish you could step into the game and smack them. And I don’t mean the bad guys. These are the characters that are on your side, who you are supposed to relate to and like.

Tidus of Final Fantasy X is a perfect example. More »
