Ever complain about playing $60 for a game? I know I have. Until now I have always blamed it on the times changing; last generation games cost $50, so now this generation has to bump it up a bit to $60. Never would I have thought it was because games are racing up $100M in expenses. Check out the top 10 most expensive video game budgets below. More »
Nothing says, “I’m a Geek!” like a video game wedding. We all cringe and beg “Please stop making all of us normal gamers look so cheesy and obsessed!” every time we hear about another couple getting hitched by Master Chief. Still, without regard, gaming obsessed couples tie the knot, controllers in hand, every year. If you’re not too queasy over the thought of marriage, take a peek at our list of best (or worst) video game weddings of all time. More »

Everything you need to get excited about Halo Reach can be found right here. What are you waiting for? Click that more button! More »
I can’t count the amount of times I’ve heard slanderous terms screamed across in game chats. Or how many glitchers I’ve had to endure while playing online multiplayer games. Could the anonymity a username grants be the culprit? Would a required username reflecting your actual identity help matters? More »
I have sat back and watched the Console Wars go on for quite a long time. Not just the nextgen Console Wars but wars that erupted ever since there became more than one system on the scene. Fanboys and Fangirls might be offended by this article because I won’t be giving their specific system of choice the tender loving care it deserves. I could drag on for hours and hours about which system does what and weigh the checks and balances and formulate an opinion on what system you should buy based off of those findings but I’m not going to. What I’m going to do is try to open everyone’s eyes to something I discovered a long time ago. More »
You’re probably thinking “Now what“?! I’m sorry to have to bring you all the sad news about the delays of things you are looking forward to, but here comes another. More »

From Rekuru: With a new decade upon us, I decided it better time than any to look to the future and see what it holds for the land of the rising sun. Some like to look at what tomorrow or the next year will bring. I, on the other hand, like to look to the far future much like a certain late night talk show host. So, without further ado, I think it’s time we look into the future. That’s right, all the way to the year 3000… More »
As an active Playstation gamer my whole life I’ve ignored just about every highly anticipated Xbox release, ever. It wasn’t because I thought they were going to be horrible games, it was that I never owned a Microsoft system, so why get excited for something I’ll never have a chance to play. But all that has changed this year when I finally figured that it would be a good time to grab an Elite and plow through the long list of Xbox 360 exclusives. Although the feat is daunting, I am making it my New Year’s resolution to complete every exclusive title by 2011. More »

From Rekuru:
Comic cons, anime festivals, and the like have run their course this year. With 2009 almost at an end, I thought it would be fun to look back at some of the best cosplay of the year. And while the many festivals and conventions have come and gone, 2010 is around the corner with more cosplay goodness waiting to be had. More »
Dear Gaming Gods,
This year for Christmas, one of the things I wish for is a new type of co-op gaming experience. You know how most games only allow two players per console to join up and play a campaign story together? I wish that you can make all companies develop games with the possibility of More »
It’s official, we’re not going to be hearing any huge news about “Halo: Reach” for a little while, actually for another month or so.
While Bungie is known for it’s antagonizing ways, people have started making the connections between the new title and “Halo 3: ODST” which was released this year. Simple things from the license plate numbers on the cars matching up with the call numbers that were revealed in the teaser (Kat, Jorge, and Carter), the only information anyone is getting now are from the devoted followers on the Bungie.net community boards. Rumors abound however, some video game websites and blogs have already christened the “new number 6″ as a Spartan III; the speculation however is not without warrant. If you’re familiar with the canon, then the words “I didn’t think anybody survived Pegasi sir”, made your ears perk up in interest. If you’re not familiar with the universe then please; skip the next section. More »
During the Spike Video Game Awards, the boys over at Bungie are cooking up quite a delectable surprise for all of those hungry fans; and yes, it will be better than what we got at E3.
The video clocks in at around 2 minutes and 32 seconds, and is footage taken directly from the actual opening cinematic of the game. While answering E-mails during the usual “Bungie Weekly Update”, Urk noted that while he wanted to give everyone the dirty dirty on Halo: Reach, Microsoft has laid a massive PR and Promotional plan that will maximize the hype and create more of a demand for the game. I may not be the best at the game, but I try. I remember standing in line waiting for the midnight release of Halo 3 with a friend; not just a friend, but one of my best friends. More »
It’s a fact: most video game to movie adaptations suck. Luckily, there’s anime.
Dealing with drawings and animations gives creators the freedom to make the characters look exactly like they’re supposed to, unlike when actors are involved (I’m thinking the new Dragonball Z movie, in which all the characters are white. It’s just… wrong). Some games have been adapted into animes that are just as good, and which can stand alone as fantastic shows. The following 5 are my own personal favorites. More »

You’ve probably had those fantasies before where you’ve wanted to pit up two different characters from two totally different games. Trust me, I’ve always loved trying to pit two random characters with each other and discuss who you think would win. Well, wait no further! I present to you Wirebot Game Character Fight Club! (Rule #1 is to never talk about fight club…jkjk). I am going to detail similar weapons between each character and draw upon which has the advantage in the situations. At the end, a verdict will be determined in which I take into account each section and post who I think would win. For this week I bring you fight #1, the infamous shield-regenerating Master Chief from Halo up against the badass armored bounty hunter Samus from Super Smash Bros. More »
*Ding ding ding!* Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, hardcore and softcore gamers… let’s get ready to RUMBLE!
Tonight we have a special lineup for you, and a treat: instead of using their fists and their bodies, these fighters will be allowed the use of firepower. The ring has been outfitted with bullet-proof glass, but for your safety, we recommend you stay on the edge of your seat, and close to an exit. Remain calm, and in case of emergency, RUN. More »
