The latest trailer for Guild Wars 2 Manifesto by ArenaNet has finally been released. It gives a sneak peak at the elegant design of the landscape and dynamic action that players can expect to find in the upcoming sequel to the Guild Wars franchise. Everything is so aesthetically pleasing and apparently there is a cause and effect system, so you get to pick what happens, which means you’re creating your very own adventure. The programming schedule for San Diego’s Comic Con has been released and with it comes the surprise announcement of “a brand new, Sci-Fi Action-RPG based on the DNA of Spore.” Comic Con runs from July 22-25 so we don’t have any more info. at the moment, but make the jump to hear our best educated guesses. You heard right, the new Lord of the Rings Online MMO is going to be 100% free to play. The catch you ask? Well, the only catch is that some content will only be available via in-game purchases. Since its first announcement, I have been very excited about the Star Wars: Old Republic MMO. The endless potential that Bioware can bring to the table with this game will be amazing. Aside from all the good things I was thinking, the one question that stuck out in my mind was why anyone would want to play as anything except a Jedi? Sure, Han Solo is cool and all, but its not like a special power would be witty wise cracks or good looks. Conspiracy and mystery keep us on our toes when it comes to information about Funcom’s The Secret World. Scouring the internet, I found another site that is alluding to a town that is featured in the game. This time, its through a normal Blogspot blog named “Monsters of Maine: An investigation into the cryptozoological and occult events occurring on Solomon Island.” At least someone knows how to do viral marketing correctly(I’m looking at you, Dante). After getting super excited for the new MMO to be released soon called The Secret World, Funcom released to the gaming press postcards with only the words “Greetings from Kingsmouth” slated on the front with blood smeared on the corners, and only a URL leading to a site called simply www.Kingsmouth.com.
