From Ziggytek: OnLive has been in the works for 8 years and will be launching in the States on the 17th of June. The service provides on-demand streaming of games for PC, Mac, and TV. Costing $14.95 for a monthly subscription and additional charges for game rentals and purchases, OnLive will have big titles such as Borderlands, Assassin’s Creed, Prince of Persia, and Mass Effect 2. The subscription based gaming service OnLive received a June 17th launch date at yesterday’s GDC event. For $14.95 a month gamers will have access to free demos, cloud saving, the ability to record brag worthy events, and cross-platform multiplayer between your PC, Mac, and TV. I recently came across a website(by getting an add on Twitter from them, actually) called OnLive. Thinking it was just another website that provided flash games or an iphone app developer, I was somewhat hesitant to click on it. My curiosity got the best of me though, and what I found inside piqued my interest ten fold. More »
