In need of replenishing your Pokemon’s health, you journey towards the Pokemon centre. However, when you arrive, you notice a Snorlax blocking the entrance of the building. You try to awaken the sleeping Pokemon, but it continues its nap, oblivious of the fact that it’s being attacked by you. Unfortunately you left your poke-flute at home, and it would take too much effort to retrieve it. Then an idea hits you, gathering every scrap of food you could find, you place it near the Snorlax. Believe it or not, the Snorlax begins to stir and advances towards your pile of food, consuming everything available. For all you Pokemon lovers over there, a new wave of Pokemon will hit the upcoming Pokemon Black and Pokemon White games. So far, 45 new 5th generation Pokemon have been revealed and there could be more to come! For those keeping a count out there, that brings the new Pokemon total from 493 to 538. Recently Pokemon players from 25 countries flew to Hawaii to take part in the Pokemon world championships. There was a total of 5 champions from both the video games and trading card game categories. These winners included Ray Rizzo (pictured above) from Marlton, New Jersey who was able to beat his opponent Yasuki Tochigi in the senior videogame division. More »

In the upcoming devoid-of-color Pokemon Black/White monster-training game, it appears that every single Pokemon is tipsy from drinking too much intoxicants. Some of them seem to repeatedly shuffle back and forth in the battle animations. I would’ve liked to see a more dynamic battle presentation and I hope there is a turn animations off button because I don’t want to see their slaphappy state. More »

Ads all over the Internet are talking about the Black and White Starter Pokemon leak on April 15th, over a year before the game is set to release. Whether or not this is just a trap to get people to sign up for their illegal file sharing service, it is still really interesting. So Pokemon is still on top and probably will still be on top for the next few months. There is something about Nintendo that just lets them permeate inside of top sales lists. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it is the far reaching hand they have around the globe? Their age in the gaming world? Power? Is Nintendo the Empire of the Video game universe?
