From Rekuru:

Comic cons, anime festivals, and the like have run their course this year. With 2009 almost at an end, I thought it would be fun to look back at some of the best cosplay of the year. And while the many festivals and conventions have come and gone, 2010 is around the corner with more cosplay goodness waiting to be had. More »

From Rekuru: This year was a busy year for Nintendo’s handheld, with heaps upon heaps of games released over the course of 2009. Amidst the onslaught of titles to be released though, 2009 also marked the release of some of the most original, as well as best, titles for the system. Below, I’ve compiled a list of ten games that stood above the rest. If you haven’t played these titles, it’s time to start spending that christmas money from grandma. More »

Every time I play Pokemon I become completely enthralled with it, literally addicted. Something about it is just so entertaining to me. I think it’s because it has so many different Pokemon to capture and you can customize them with names and teach them moves to customize your fighting style. But it’s just really kiddy and full of happy sunshine. It leaves me really wondering, what if Pokemon was more adult?… More »

Dear Gaming God(s),

Hi! Remember me? It’s Jeffery. I just wanted to let you know that I had another wish for Christmas. I hope I’ve been a good boy this year, because this is quite the wish. Ready? Well here it goes. I wish for a legit official 3d Poke’mon MMORPG from Nintendo. I would not be ashamed at all to play a game like that, and More »

Welcome back fellow RPG enthusiasts to another edition of RPG bonanza. Last week we looked at the many ports and remakes for the Nintendo DS, with many of the titles originally hailing from the Super Nintendo era. Of course, you might have already played those games (to death) and are looking for something a little fresher. We’ve got you covered. This week, we’re looking at the many sequels and spin-offs from established franchises available on the DS. More »

It’s a fact: most video game to movie adaptations suck. Luckily, there’s anime.

Dealing with drawings and animations gives creators the freedom to make the characters look exactly like they’re supposed to, unlike when actors are involved (I’m thinking the new Dragonball Z movie, in which all the characters are white. It’s just… wrong). Some games have been adapted into animes that are just as good, and which can stand alone as fantastic shows. The following 5 are my own personal favorites. More »

This week Nintendo released several different new Wiiware games, and among them was another addition to the Poke’mon franchise. Titled Poke’mon Rumble, this small yet intricate game is sold for 1500 Wii points($15.00 USD). Possibly one of the first Poke’mon games that does not have a turn based battle system, Poke’mon Rumble has the image of an action type game, in which the player controls a “toy” Poke’mon, and goes and fights other Poke’mon in various modes. As you defeat Poke’mon, you can even befriend them, and trade Poke’mon with other people.

Although I haven’t played it yet, for some reason More »

From Ningin: Easy question. I would want to be Ask Ketchum from Pokemon! Tell me who hasn’t played Pokemon? That is almost everyone’s childhood game and show. I still have all my games ever since it came out as the blue, red, and yellow version. I remember staying up all night and day trying to be the best Pokemon trainer in the world! Then again, I was 5, and I didn’t even know how to pass some levels. More »
