Some sneak-peak screenshots have recently been released by Amazon.com, for Sonic Colors. SEGA’s Sonic Colors seems to have exceptional graphic features and new dynamic power-ups. It also looks like there’s going to be a 2-player mode option. Hopefully SEGA will clarify every single game features soon! More »

I can’t tell you how many quarters I’ve dropped into claw machines trying to win a stuffed animal for my puppy. Of those countless quarter drops, I usually only win about 10% of the time. A total rip off, I know, but what can I say, they’re fun! Thanks to SEGA and their new “balance board” game UFO Catcher, I may finally achieve my dream of having the largest teddy bear collection. From Ziggytek: The RetroN 3 Video Gaming System brings back the ’80s and ’90s, when console games were about pixelated fun, not unnecessary things like production values, good voice acting, and downloadable content. With the RetroN 3, players can dust off their SEGA Genesis, Super Nintendo, and NES cartridges for a blast to the past. More »

The Sega Saturn is a console that is often overlooked, but really did offer some great games during it’s life span - even with it’s lack of success as a popular game system. As other older consoles have gotten their games re-released as downloadables, the Saturn has not, so it has remained fairly unknown. More »

The next installment in Sonic’s adventures (and follow up to SEGA’s last game, Sonic and the Dark Knight) has been confirmed to hit both the Wii and the DS later this year! More »

After coming away from the hot Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 for iPhone, I couldn’t help but pick up another seemingly awesome game for my little handheld that could. Lately the quality factor of iPhone games have sky rocketed. I was super turned off from them because when the first generation apps were out, the games were not worth playing. Many times you would have shotty controls or really dumbed down gameplay. Safe to say, all that has changed, and Sonic, alongside Tony, helps to once again prove that fact. More »

Although Dark Void was a pretty bad game overall, the one redeeming cool factor was the fact that the main character’s shtick was using a jetpack. The game developers might have taken a nose dive when coming up with cool ways to use the jetpack(and story elements..), but the jetpack itself was an awesome gameplay mechanic. Why do people not use this idea more? What I do know is that Rocket Knight for Xbox360 Arcade does, and though it is still a 2D sidescroller, the jetpack still makes the game ten times better than if it wasn’t there. More »

From Ziggytek: On sale for $29.99 CDN (regularly $60), the Retrogen Portable Genesis is a handheld version of SEGA’s enormously popular 16-bit console from the early 1990s. With a 2.8″ LCD, the Retrogen allows gamers to relive their glorious sprite gaming days. There is also Audio/Video out for playing on a TV. More »

Riding the coattails of Final Fantasy XIII this March comes Resonance of Fate, a Tri-ace developed Sega published Japanese role playing game. Though the majority are probably all JRPG’ed out after the 40+ hours spent in Pulse, some are enthusiastic enough to start another epic adventure right after completing the first one. If that is the case, I am sure you are wondering if Resonance of Fate is the adventure you should be starting, or if you should be looking elsewhere. Lucky for you, I will make it quick, easy and painless! More »

Got Sonic on the brain? No? Well you should. As a polite gamer, you should respect your elders, and trust me, the blue hedgehog is definitely ancient. Thankfully though, he is getting a brand new makeover in Sonic 4, which is set to be released this summer on XBLA. His official website released some goodies including new screens, music downloads, and the introduction to the first level of the game! More »

So far you heard me rant about how mediocre the Colonial Marines campaign was and how short, but sweet the Predator portion was. Today I am going to take a look at the Alien campaign to wrap up Alien vs. Predator. Prepare for another installment of The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. More »

Destructoid dug up a really pathetic and quite funny internet petition regarding the new Sonic 4 game that is coming out on the Xbox Marketplace. The protesters, like most internet nerds with too much time on their hands, are claiming that the new Sonic game is going to just be a HD version of Sonic Rush and not a true sequel to the original Sonic series. Give me a break. More »

After playing through the Predator campaign in Alien vs Predator I feel much more satisfied. For everything the Colonial Marine campaign got wrong, the Predator section got right ten fold. Below you’ll find a rundown of the high and low points in a feature I am calling The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. More »

Online Multiplayer modes are a difficult feature to uphold on any game. Gamers will exploit glitches, matchmaking algorithms need to be balanced, and servers need to be maintained. Gamers tolerate these problems from big name multiplayer contenders, but are not so humble when it comes to titles with far less players. Aliens vs. Predators suffers from the worst multiplayer nuisance, a lack of dedicated servers. More »

The newest Aliens vs. Predator reboot hopes to do away with the stale gameplay and poor craftsmanship of the previous installments. One of the ways Rebellion does this is by splitting the campaign into 3 factions: Colonial Marines, Aliens, and Predators. Players take control of each species and play out the events as they unfold through their unique perspectives. With this impression I will start off with looking at the Colonial Marines campaign since that is where most players will begin. More »

The Yakuza series never really did much for me. It always seemed somewhat lackluster, but even though it wasn’t my cup of tea, everyone deserves another shot, right? With Yakuza 3 coming out very soon(March 12th in fact!) on the PS3, I figure it is time to step back into that suit and take Kazuma for another go. More »

To celebrate SEGA’s upcoming Alien vs. Predator game, user GivinTats from the Llama Game Console Forum has created this disgustingly beautiful PS3 case mod. While it may look as if the Alien is actually bursting through the PS3’s motherboard GivinTats promises that it is only a cosmetic mod and that no consoles were harmed in the making! To view this horrifying PS3-alien-hybrid check out our gallery below. More »
